Picture Found At http://factsaboutyou.tumblr.com/

Personally, I am a person that cares what other people think. It is a very bad habit, but it is something that I am working on each day. This quote is saying not to let the little things bother you. I shouldn’t care what other people think, because there opinion is not important. Another thing that I let bother me is…everything. I constantly worry about every little thing, and it stresses me out. I am constantly stressed out and it is very unhealthy. I am working at becoming stress free. 

"Life is once, forever.”

- Henri Cartier-Bresson

This quote is saying to live you life to the fullest. You only have on life. That's it. No second chance, no re-do, or un-do button. Have fun with your life, because you can't get this moment back. This summer, I plan to do a lot of things this summer. I am so excited to live my life to the fullest. (while being good)

WHat are you going to do this summer?

Tuesday : Picture Day :)

This quote is from a tumblr page that lists rules of gentlemen. This rule to me is very important. Personally, I love the fact that my boyfriend will always be here for me. I know that sounds all mushy, and maybe even pathetic, but he has proven it to me… numerous times. Knowing that someone is going to be there for you no matter what, is the best feeling ever. I know that no matter what, I can go to him and he will listen. This rule though, shouldn’t apply to just guys. Girls need to understand that boys have a soft spot too, and sometimes they need us, more than we need them. Also, this doesn’t just apply to relationships. When I first read this quote, that is what I instantly thought of. But, the more I read it, I realize that this can refer to a friend-to-friend basis. No matter what it is referring to, this quote is 100 % true.

Plans

“Everyone has a plan…until they get punched in the face.”

- Mike Tyson

This quote is referring to all the bumps in the road of your life that you are going to come across. Everyone has a plan, but it most likely won’t go the way you think it is going to. As in, it will not go as smooth as you thought it would be. But these challenges (punches in the face) will help make you stronger, and hopefully help you want to get to you goal / plan faster. Some people take rejection hard, but they should take the negative, and turn it into a positive.

Prom :D

So normally my blog is about quotes, but this Friday I am going to be talking about prom. Yes, I know that this is completely off topic, but prom is this weekend and I am so excited. This will be the first prom that my boyfriend and I will be going to, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Homecoming and prom are the two big dances that you will be able to go to during your high school years. Homecoming is in the fall, and prom is in the spring. Prom is the fancier of the two, and the boys wear tuxes. With this being said, normally prom isn’t in one of your schools. But with money problems, our high school prom is now in our middle school cafeteria. Even though this is not what many people pictured there prom place to be, many of us are just really excite that we are having one. We are very lucky to have a loving principal, and loving parents to help us raise money and put on our prom for us.

Tuesday : Picture Day :)

I think everyone enjoys that satisfaction of succeeding, especially when someone thinks you are going to fail. This is one of the best feelings in the world. I love when people doubt me, and I prove them wrong. Last year when I was a sophomore, our varsity volleyball team won our conference. In years past, we have not been that good of a team. We were the team that always came in 2nd to last place. (Somewhere really low.) So at the beginning of the year, all the other teams thought no different. Well guess what, to their complete surprise we were the best team. We had worked our butts off the entire summer, and we wanted at least, to claim that M.B.C title. If we won the M.B.C title, we would make history. For the first time East Knox Volleyball would be the champions of the conference. We had so many people doubt our capabilities of our dream. When we heard about all the people who doubted us, it made us want it more. We surprised so many people during our season, and we started to get more and more fans throughout the season. So next time someone doubts you, use that to fuel your fire and prove the, wrong.

Friday Favorites

I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.
Michael Jordan

This quote, is something that I read quite often during basketball season. As most people know, Michael Jordan is one of the best basketball players to ever step foot onto a court. He is very successful, and he has accomplished so much. But just liked he stated in this quote, he has failed many times. By him failing, it has caused him to succeed. He use to have so much pressure on him to make the game winning shot, and he has missed, this has helped him become successful. Next time when you fail at something, get back up and try again. Life isn’t easy and we know that, but we have to push through the bad times, in order to receive the good.. This quote reminds me to never give up, even if I fail / mess up more than once.

“All journeys have secret destinations of which the traveler is unaware.”

- Martin Buber

In life, you will go many places. But while you are traveling you don’t always know where the destination will be. This is why you always need to follow your heart, but take your brain. Your life is a constant journey, make sure you enjoy the ride while you can, because you will never get this moment back.

Tuesday : Picture Day :)

This is Michelle Tanner from the TV. show Full House. One of the things she always says is “You got it dude!” It is very cute, and it fits her perfectly. Itis neat when they have little kids, say the cutest things. Anything that comes out of a person’s mouth can be quoted. There are a ton of different types of quotes. They are inspirational quotes, movie quotes, and life quotes. No matter what your situation, you can always find a quote that suits you.

Army

Why does it take a minute to say hello and forever to say goodbye?  ~Author Unknown

This picture is absolutely beautiful, and it takes my breath away each time I look at it. No words can describe the feeling of Army families when they see their family member on U.S soil. This picture is of a dad getting to see his baby girl for the first time ever, and he looks at her like she is made of gold. This quote goes perfect with this picture. When someone you know is in the service, and they come home for the first time in a long time, the feeling is amazing. It is so easy to greet them, but it is so hard to tell them good-bye. When they leave, you can’t touch them, talk to them, or anything. However, telling them hello is the easiest thing, because when they are home, they are safe.

Laugh, Not Cry :)

“The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache.”

- Marjorie Pay Hinckley
This quote is very good, and also true. During your life, you are going to have hard times and good times. (I hope you have more good times, than bad) But, no one gets out of life alive anyways, so why make life harder than it already is? Instead of looking at the negatives in life, always try to find the positive. When you do this I promise that life will be easier for you. If you take everything so seriously, stress out about everything, and also cry about everything, it will eat you alive.  You need to have fun in life, not be sad. So next time life gives you 100 reasons to give up & cry, think of 100 more reasons why you shouldn’t give up & laugh. That is just my opinion.

Tuesday : Picture Day :)

I think that this quote is completely true. To me, it seems like everyone tries to get to a certain place as soon as possible. It’s good to have a goal, and to reach it, but I think that sometimes we get ahead of ourselves, and skip a few steps. Day by day, take it slow. Relax, and enjoy your life. With the little steps you take, you will probably get farther than you would if you took just one big step. What if you messed up during your big step, and you have to start all over again? No one wants to do that. So next time take it slow, and little by little you will travel far.

Food

"Food is our common ground, a universal experience.”

- James Beard

I am sure that there are different ways that one can view this quote, but I take this as kind of a funny quote. Because there are so many different things you can do in your life, you may think that you have nothing in common. But, everyone has something in common, food.
